Tiffany Haddish Makes History For Black Women Of Comedy; Pens A New Book

She’s known as a breakout star of the hilarious “Girls Trip,” movie. As of recently, she also made history as being the first black female stand-up comic to host “Saturday Night Live,” out of it’s entire 43 seasons! There’s no doubt, Tiffany Haddish will indeed make the audience laugh! It’s safe for us to say that she’s a woman of many talents. From stand-up comedian to film actress, she’s now embracing a new title, as being an author.
Her upcoming book is titled, The Last Black Unicorn will be released in stores nationwide on December 5th. It is a reflection of her personal stories from her own experiences. She explains what it felt like to grow up in some of the poorest neighborhoods in South Central LA. She went from living in foster homes, getting stabbed in bunk beds, surviving an abusive childhood to becoming one of the most successful black female comediennes’ in today’s history!
In one of her latest interviews, she shared how her love for comedy had started as a child. She was inspired to be funny as a child because it prevented her from being bullied by some of the other girls in foster care. When things weren’t always so bright and funny as a kid, she had learned to use comedy as a coping mechanism. It assisted her to overcome some of the toughest battles that she endured. After being a twelve year old girl who was left to raise her three siblings alone because of her mother’s paralyzed condition, Tiffany Haddish is definitely the true definition of a “Warrior Woman.” She overcame all of it by turning lemons into lemonade.
