The city of Atlanta has proclaimed November 6th as Xscape’s official holiday in honor of their success. On November 3rd, they were actually surprised to receive the great news as they interviewed with Steve Harvey before giving a performance on national television. Steve stated:
I’m bout to show you how powerful you really are. This Monday, you all don’t know this, but the city of Atlanta is proclaiming Xscape’s official holiday. November 6th is going to be named Xscape’s official holiday in the city of Atlanta.
After an eighteen year hiatus (with all four original members), the group recently reunited and made their first public appearance on the 2017 BET Awards in June. They also landed a new Bravo TV reality series titled, Xscape: Still Kickin’ It, which premiered on November 5th.
They have been preparing for their upcoming The Great Xscape tour, alongside special guests Monica and Tamar Braxton. The tour is set to visit 22 cities across the nation. It will officially kick off on November 22nd in Richmond, VA. It will run until the top of 2018 and will be closing in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater.
Congratulations, on getting their own official day in Atlanta.
