Angela Bassett To Star In Fox Series, “9-1-1,” Coming January 2018

Angela Bassett was announced as the series lead of the show, “9-1-1,” which is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The drama is centered around emergency responders, police, paramedics, and firefighters who are persuaded into the most frightening and heartstopping scenarios. They are attempting to save lives as well as solving their own problems and vulnerability in tragic situations.

 

“9-1-1,”is a ER-like drama series at Fox, it is set to premiere on January 3, 2018. Angela Bassett will be starring alongside, actress Connie Britton, and the male leading actor will be Paul Krause. Ryan Murphy and Brad Fulchuk are the executive producers and creators of the show.

 

Angela Bassett is best known and was nominated for an Academy Award in the Tina Turner biographical film, “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” she won a corresponding Golden Globe Award. She gracefully portrayed her role as Coretta Scott King in “Betty and Coretta,” in 2013 and was honored with her first PrimeTime Emmy Nomination. Her success has earned several nominations for her roles in films such as; “Akeelah and the Bee,” “Meet The Browns,” “Jumping the Broom,” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back.” She also had a recurring role for several tv series; “American Horror Story,” “Hotel,” “Freak Show,” and the sixth season “Roanoke.”
