Hold on tight, Saints and Sinners fans. According to lead actress,Jasmine Burke (Dr. Christie Johnson), “Season three of Saints and Sinners is driving off the cliff.” No brake pads or seats belts allowed!

Saints and Sinners tells the story of a christian family troubled by a dark and sinister past, a past the family tries hard to cover-up by using the cornerstone of the family, Greater Hope Baptist church. What the family doesn’t realize is no one can escape their past transgressions. Their malicious antics to erase their wrong doings becomes the downfall of a tainted family.

It’s clear from the previous seasons, Greater Hope Baptist Church isn’t your ordinary church. A place where saints and sinners flee to find refuge is plagued by the family’s lies, deceit, and never-ending fight for power.

Power Is Our Religion

In season one, Rex Fisher reprised by the incomparable Clifton Powell, tells Pastor Evan Johnson, “ You and I have something in common. Power is our religion.” A line perfectly crafted by writer, T.S. Grant.

In Cypress Hill, Georgia, money, power, and respect are the keys to life ⏤ literally. Rex Fisher is a malicious loan shark that will stop at no cost to get what he feels he so rightfully deserves. That includes crossing everyone and his only son, Kendrick Murphy, played by The Wire’s Tray Chaney. In a sit-down interview with the cast both Clifton and Tray say, fans will witness how the unorthodox father and son relationship between Rex and Kendrick unfold.

That isn’t the only thing fans see unfold this season. Demetria McKinney says, fans will also see her character, Tamara Calloway jump of the deep end. After dealing with infidelity and the lost of her child, Tamara is ready to explode.

As if season two did not include enough eye popping, jaw dropping, and heart pounding moments. The anticipation surrounding season three stems from one question, who will have the power? Each character’s fight for power helps to create a captivating, yet suspenseful storyline.

The series premiered on Bounce TV on March 6, 2016, as the network’s first original drama. The network was founded on April 5, 2011.
